Beijing, Dec 20: China stated that, China and the USA will hold more talks on trade in January.
Commerce Ministry spokesperson Gao Feng expressed, confidence in successful implementation of consensus reached in talks between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, in Argentina.
Goa said, “Two sides will arrange consultations including meetings and calls anytime as needed to promote the implementation of the consensus of the heads of states, since then two sides had been in close contact when they went over arrangements of more talks, the issue of trade balances and the protection of ‘intellectual property right’”.
This economic dispute occurred before China’s entry in WTO, but all former Presidents of America failed to solve this problem. The US filled a request for consultation of WTO, in regard to concerns that, China was violating intellectual property right.
US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin had reportedly said earlier that, China and US were planning to hold meetings in January to “Document an Agreement” on trade. Trump administration official have not disclosed any plan for face-to-face meetings since Trump and Xi meet at Argentina.
But both of the sides did not give an exact detail about these meetings.
Further Gao said, the potential for trade cooperation between the two countries was huge and the nature of win-win cooperation would not change.
Trump and Xi Jinping agreed in Argentina to truce that delayed and planned in January. US increased of tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods while they negotiate a trade deal.
