Another JMB terrorist arrested in Bengal for alleged link with Bodh Gaya blast case

Kolkata, February 23: Another Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) terrorist has been arrested in connection with Bodh Gaya blast. Kolkata Police’s Special Task Force (STF) has arrested him from West Bengal’s Murshidabad.

Nur Alam Momin alias Alam is a resident of Murshidabad's Dhuliyan. He is alleged to have participated in a meeting with JMB leaders in Hyderabad, where the Bodh Gaya blast was planned. He is the fourth one in a row who has alleged connection with Bodh Gaya blast.

“We have seized several instigating religious leaflets, cash and contact numbers of his associates in India. Preliminary probe revealed that he was planning to push fake currency into India along the border. He is an explosive expert,” a senior police officer said.

Though the blast was a low-intensity one but the Spiritual Leader Dalai Lama was holding a workshop then in the temple town. Earlier Police arrested Paigamber Sheikh (24) , Jamirul Sheikh (31 and Ahmed Ali alias Kalu). In primary interrogation, the two accused revealed their links with the group that had planted IED at Bodh Gaya during Dalai Lama’s visit.
