Earlier in this month, KTR had personal interaction with Sitharaman where he pitched hard for the mega project. The Minister shared inputs on the proposed Defence Industrial Production Corridor and urged Sitharaman to include the name of Hyderabad for the prestigious Defence Industrial Production Corridor.
Elaborating about the existing projects under the TRS government, the Minister categorically mentioned about the dynamic vibrant ecosystem which paved the ways for emerging sectors like aerospace and defence in the newly formed state. He urged central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ratify the Defence manufacturing cluster under the banner of Make in India initiative. On the contrary, in the Union Budget defence industrial production corridors were sanctioned for Chennai, Bengaluru, and Bundelkhand.
