New
Delhi, March 7: Fortifying
its position as a leader on international platform, India decided to
collaborate with other nations on 5G technology. This would lead to India cement
its spot as a “leader” in modification and adoption of 5G emerging as an important
technology.
Speaking at the Convergence India 2018, Telecom Minister, Manoj Sinha termed 5G as one of the most important, emerging areas and said the country has taken steps to set up a test bed for this technology.
He further said that the department officials are keen to collaborate with other nations that are engaged in this endeavor, so India is a leader not a follower in assessment, refinement and adoption of 5G technology.
All equipment and components for the BharatNet project were indigenously manufactured, thereby providing a boost to India’s Make in India program.
Sinha further said that such events will be an unique platform for all stakeholders engaged in the increasingly the overlying fields of Telecom, IT, broadcast and digital media and also help to gather, exchange and demonstrate ideas and information, share best practices, and learn from our collective experiences.
India is emerging as a leader in the field of technology and modifying it will help the nation to move ahead. This collaboration will have benefits like consolidating the relations with other nations and creating a platform for future growth. This will also result in economic growth and development of the country.
Bringing in 4G technology has created a wide and global impact on the masses, therefore this new effort is definitely going to create an arena for growth, progress and development.
