Security forces neutralized one terrorist during a fierce encounter in South Kashmir's Pulwama district

Srinagar, April 24: security forces continuing its intensifying anti-terrorism operation, on Tuesday neutralized one terrorist during an ongoing encounter in Lam forest area of Tral town of South Kashmir's Pulwama district. Unfortunately, two troopers including one army man and one policeman were martyred while another policeman sustained injuries. 

Notably, one terrorist was eliminated by security forces in Lam forest area of Tral town of South Kashmir's Pulwama district. The body of slain terrorists along with arms and ammunition was recovered from the encounter site. Unfortunately, two troopers including one army man and one policeman belonged to Jammu and Kashmir police were martyred while another sustained injuries.

DGP SP Vaid in a tweet said, "One terrorist neutralised, salute to our martyrs".

The encounter comes after the security forces received specific input of the presence of two terrorists in Lam forest area of Tral town of South Kashmir's Pulwama district. Meanwhile, a search operation is going on in the Lam forests of the area following the encounter between the forces and terrorists.

Just two days before, on a tip, security forces including Army and Jammu and Kashmir’s police launched a search operation in Watsar forest area in Handwara town of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district and recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition. Earlier, in this month, the army and Kashmir’s police SOG launched a joint operation and arrested a Pakistani terrorist from Juktiyal area of Kupwara district.

It is a worth to note here that the Indian security forces have led a massive war against terrorism and terrorists in the inner parts of Jammu-Kashmir and forward areas. Therefore, Anti-Terrorism operation is continued with such a speed that more than 206 terrorists were eliminated by Indian troops last year.
