Chandigarh, October 22: Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri today accompanied a delegation of Resident Foreign Heads of Missions from nearly 85 countries on a visit to Guru Di Nagari to pay obeisance at Harmandir Sahib as part of 550th Parkash Utsav celebrations of Guru Nanak.
“The visit of envoys from all parts of the world to the sanctum sanctorum of Sikh faith is a befitting mark of respect to Guru Nanak, who during his five Udasis, travelled to several parts of the world with his eternal message of peace & oneness of humanity. I have no doubt that this visit will be an enlightening & enriching experience for the visiting delegation,” Said the Minister.
The Minister further added that Since time immemorial seekers of spirituality & solace have headed to Guru Di Nagri Amritsar Sahib & the holy city has always welcomed humanity with open heart & benevolence.
People of Guru Di Nagri extended a very warm & enthusiastic welcome to delegation of foreign envoys.
