With blast of joy and enthusiasm, UN arranges grand Diwali celebrations

United Nations, October 28: Diwali has not only remained an Indian festival only but it has become a global festival now. In the era of globalization, Indians are spread across the world where they celebrate Diwali with spontaneous participation of the local residents. World’s largest organization, the United Nations had also arranged a grand Diwali celebration with people having blast of joy and enthusiasm. 

 
The celebration was overloaded with lighting of lamps, Panati’s, colourful decorations, colourful dresses, music, dance and much more. clay lamps were lit to at the UN headquarters which signify the victory of good over evil. Ambassador & Deputy Permanent Representative India’s Mission to UN Nagaraj Naidu had participated in the celebration. The UN also launched postal lamps with pictures and message of Diwali. 
 
“Over the last 7 decades, we have worked to improve the lives of those left behind and remain committed to working closely with the Government of India and other development partners to reach the farthest!” tweeted the United Nations India. 
 
“For young diplomats UN Nothing beats a Diwali celebration,” said India’s Ambassador & Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
