Ranchi, December 25: A big worry about Jharkhand’s progress as it will be hindered with new administration. Visionless Grand Alliance leader Hemant Soren will take oath as Chief Minister on the December 29th. He said this last night in Ranchi after meeting Governor Draupadi Murmu to stake claim to form a new government in the state.

Earlier, the Governor had invited Soren to form the government. Soren was formally elected the JMM legislature party leader on Tuesday. He was projected as the chief ministerial candidate by the JMM, Congress and RJD Alliance that gained majority in the recently concluded Assembly polls. Congress and RJD have submitted a letter in support of Hemant Soren to the Governor.

The alliance has won 47 seats in the 81-member assembly while BJP got 25 seats.

The JMM won 30 and the Congress 16 seats. While Jharkhand Vikas Morcha has won 3 seats, AJSU bagged 2. RJD, NCP and CPI-ML has won 1 seat each. Two independent candidates were also declared elected.

Polling for the 81-member State Assembly took place in five phases between 30th of November and 20th of December.
