Justice on faster mode! Yogi government approves 218 new fast track courts

Lucknow, December 9: A big decision has been taken in the interest of atrocities against women in the UP government cabinet meeting held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has approved the opening of 218 new fast track courts in the state. Of these, 144 new courts will hear only rape cases while 74 courts will hear Posco Act cases.

In the press conference after the meeting, Uttar Pradesh Law Minister Brajesh Pathak told that 42389 Posco and 25749 rape cases are still pending in the state. Due to which the UP government has taken this big decision. Brajesh Pathak told that the recruitment of its judges will be started soon. 60% of the expenditure on the formation of these courts will be borne by the Central Government and 40% by the State Government. Each court will cost 75 lakh rupees.

Apart from this, the cabinet meeting has passed a proposal to run electric AC buses in 14 cities. Under this, electric ACs will run in Lucknow, Meerut, Prayagraj, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Agra, Varanasi, Moradabad, Bareilly, Aligarh, Jhansi, Bareilly, Mathura, Gorakhpur and Shahjahanpur.

 

The UP government has also approved the extension of three municipal limits. It will expand Ayodhya and Gorakhpur and Firozabad. Ayodhya Municipal Corporation has decided to include 41 revenue villages in the border area. At the same time, 41 more one colony are being included in Gorakhpur and Firozabad Municipal Corporation border area.
