"We will nurture Yamuna with water flowing to Pakistan": Gadkari's words frustates Pakistan

Haridwar, February 21: Namami Gange project put a further step of development as Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Water Resources, Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for National highway and Namami Gange works worth about six thousand crore rupees in Haridwar today. 


 

Gadkari also laid the foundation stone for seven NH projects worth over Five thousand Crore rupees. He dedicated to the public three projects including the strengthening of about thirty-two km long Roshanabad-Biharigarh Motorway. Along with this, the minister also informed that the government has decided to the share of supply of water flowing to Pakistan. The water will be diverted to the states of Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. 

 
While addressing the event, Gadkari said that the water of the three rivers, which have rights to India, will not be allowed to go to Pakistan anymore. We are preparing three projects and will bring this water to Yamuna. DPR of waterway has been prepared till Etawah, Delhi and Agra. River port will be built in Baghpat. He said change the farmer crop cycle and make sugar and ethanol mixed sugarcane juice will increase employment and earnings.

He also dedicated to the public; Ghats constructed under Namami Gange Programme and planted a tree of RUDRAKSH in the memory of martyred soldiers in Pulwama terror attack. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Ravat and his Cabinet Ministers were also present on the occasion.

 

On Wednesday, Gadkari laid the foundation stones of Yamuna's Water Treatment Plant, also Double Lane Highway between Baghpat, and Meerut Bypass to Haryana Border.
