Telangana: BJP to contest all 17 Lok Sabha segments on its own: K Laxman

Hyderabad, Mar 13: In a bid to improve the strike rate of BJP in the crucial Lok Sabha polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to address four mega rallies in Telangana. Speaking to the media, state in-charge K Laxman announced that Prime Minister Modi is likely to address four election gatherings whereas BJP National Chief Amit Shah will participate in six public meetings. 

Besides Modi and Shah, Union Minister Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Chief Minster Yogi Adityanath and other national leader are also scheduled to hold rallies in different parts of the state. The high-octane campaign drive will begin from March 20.

Talking about the final list of candidates, the Laxman stated that on March 14 core committee will take the final call on and final list would be submitted to the central leadership. He mentioned that BJP will fight all 17 Lok Sabha segments on its own. 

Commenting on the political tie-up between ruling TRS and Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM, Laxman said, “Voting for TRS is equal to voting for AIMIM ”. Dubbing AIMIM Chief as a political middleman, Laxman alleged that the Hyderabad MP was responsible for the defection of Congress lawmakers to TRS.
