Following the well in advance wishes given by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for PM Modi’s anticipated come back as the India’s PM, Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulated Modi on the electoral victory under his leadership.

 

 

Chinese president sent a letter to Modi earlier today congratulating him for NDA’s victory under his leadership. In the letter, President Xi noted the great importance he attached to the development of India-China relations and his desire to work with Modi to take the closer development partnership between the two countries to a new height.

 

He also expressed satisfaction at the strong momentum of development in India-China relations in recent years with the joint efforts of both sides.

 

India and China have shared and continue to share robust bilateral ties. Although the relationship has been cordial, there are border disputes and an economic competition between the two countries that have at times led to strained relations.
