SC adjourns Rafale review petition; Next hearing scheduled at May 10 with contempt matter against RaGa

New Delhi, May 6: Adjourning the review petition in Rafale case till 10th of May, the Supreme Court on Monday expressed surprise as to how the contempt matter against Rahul Gandhi was not listed today along with the Rafale review.
 
 
Re-reading the earlier court proceedings that mentioned these matter to be separately heard - Rafale on May 6 and Contempt on May 10, the Court directed the matter to be listed at 2 PM on Friday, this week, the last day before the Court closes for summer recess.
 
The Apex Court will also be hearing the contempt case initiated against Rahul Gandhi for attributing “Chowkidar chor hain” remarks to the preliminary verdict of SC in Rafale case on the same said day.

 
 
“While we observe that it will be open for the respondent to file the additional affidavit. We make it clear that the admissibility and acceptance of any affidavit, if filed, will be considered on the next date fixed”, the bench led by CJI Ranjan Gogoi said.
