'Terrorism is biggest threat to humanity', PM Modi lauds the strength of BRICS leaders at G20 Summit

Oaska, June 28: Post his trilateral meeting with the Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo and US President Donald Trump, PM Narendra Modi held his staunch remarks to strengthen WTO, fight protectionism, ensure energy security and the need to work together to fight terrorism at the BRICS leaders meet on the sidelines of G20 summit.

 
“We must all come together and fight the menace of terrorism. Terrorism not only targets the innocent, it creates an environment that is dangerous. We must all make it a priority to do all we can to curb and end terrorism on a global scale. We must put an end to the financing of terror outfits”, PM Modi said.
Further welcoming the new Brazilian president to his first BRICS summit, PM Modi also congratulated the South African president on his re-election. “I look forward to the next BRICS Summit in Brazil. India will do all it can to ensure that the summit in Brazil is a success”, he added.
 
The overall BRICS summit was satisfactory where important points were covered to reduce the menace of terrorism and terror financing in detail. All the heads of states agreed unanimously on acting against terrorism and terror financing. The leaders also focused on the internet and digital platforms being used to indoctrinate, radicalize and recruit terrorists.
