New Delhi, Aug. 26: India is the largest democracy. Indian elections are the largest democratic exercise. Now, giving 2nd chance to those who miss due to some reasons, now, Election commission announced by-polls in four assembly seats.
 

 
As per the official statement, The by-polls for Dantewada (Chhattisgarh), Pala (Kerala), Badharghat (Tripura) and Hamirpur (Uttar Pradesh) Assembly seats will be held on September 23.
 
 
 
 
The official statement also stated The last date for filing of nominations is September 4, scrutiny of nominations September 5 and withdrawal of candidature September 7.
 
 

 
 
This time, the Election Commission decided to use EVMs and VVPATs in the bye-elections in all the polling stations. Adequate numbers of EVMs and VVPATs have been made available and all steps have been taken to ensure that the polls are conducted smoothly with the help of these machines. polling would take place on September 23 and the counting of votes on September 27.
