Superb Performance! Star cyclist Ronaldo Singh bags to golds on the first day of Track Asia Cup

New Delhi, September 11: India’s superfast cyclist Ronaldo Singh won two consecutive gold medals on the inaugural day of the Track Asia Cup being held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.
 
The very first day of the event proved to be prestigious for India as India won total 12 medals including 4 Gold, 4 Silver and 4 Bronze. Ronaldo created an Asian record by clocking a time of 10.065 seconds against the previous record of 10.149s. Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju congratulated Ronaldo on his remarkable achievement. 
 
India also won gold in the women's junior team sprint event, represented by Triyasha Paul and Nikita Nisha. Esow Alben and Deborah Herold were some of the star Indian names in action on Day 1, and met expectations by finding a place on the podium in the Men's Elite and Women's Elite Team Sprint events. Herold and Aleena Reji won bronze in the women's elite team sprint event
