New Delhi, Jan 7: In a first-of-its-kind exam, Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog (RKA), the central body constituted for the protection and development of cows, has announced that it will hold a countrywide online examination on 'Gau Vigyan' (cow science) on February 25. It also comes up with a noble initiative of making study materials about cow science available.

This comes to raise mass awareness about indigenous cows among young students and every other citizen. The RKA is aiming to infuse curiosity into all Indians about the cows and make them aware of the unexplored potential and business opportunities a cow can offer, even after it stops giving milk.

Scientists, entrepreneurs, GauSevaks, farmers, youth, and women as well as senior citizens will be involved in this mega event.

Certificates will be given to all," it said. The Ministry added that meritorious candidates will be given prizes and certificates afterward. Appreciation letters will be issued to all those who help in organizing this exam, it said.

Speaking on the syllabus, the government and the RKA has emphasized the significance of the cows. It has put forth the difference between the native cows and the Jersey cows such as cow Urine and cow Dung is consumed in the form of PanchGavya but not in the case of the Jersey cows. It has also said that it has traces of Gold in it but not in the latter. It has also mentioned the religious and medicinal significance of it. It has said that PanchGavya - milk, ghee, curd, urine, and dung - spray is very useful for the farmers and plants as it is very effective on almost all the crops. The crops show great productivity and growth compared to the no PanchGavya Spray.

"In 1984, more than 20,000 people died due to gas leaks in Bhopal. People living in houses with cow dung coated walls were not affected," it further said. It has also explained the fact that why India needs the cow.

Agriculture, the NCEUS report found, was a fertile ground for poverty, especially for small and marginal farmers, 84 percent of whom spent more than they earned and were often caught in debt traps. The reintroduction of cows can drastically change the rural landscape in India but the entire government machinery is geared towards killing and exporting cows. After independence, it took 65 long years for the Indian leaders to realize their cherished dream - to make India a world leader in beef export. This feat was achieved in the year 2012 under the able leadership of a cow eating leader. And now finally the founders of modern India can rest in peace. Having realized their dreams, these founders must be reveling in their graves.

It has also mentioned the relationship between cow slaughtering and earthquakes through scientific research. "Physicists M M Bajaj, Ibrahim, and Vijayraj Singh have proposed the theory that animal slaughter and natural calamities like earthquakes have an interrelationship, and research papers on this theory have been presented in many international conferences. The theory presents the hypothesis of large-scale abattoir activity as the causative agent for major earthquakes". With all this, the government is trying to send the message about the importance of the cows not only as milk-producing animals but also significant animals in economic, agriculture, farming, and medicinal aspects across the country.

RKA has been successful in delivering the message across the country that the cow is not just a milk-giving animal but its environmental, health, and economic benefits are immense if used properly. The waste products like cow-dung and cow-urine, which are cheap and abundantly available, are bio-degradable and environmentally friendly. Hence, these can be gainfully used by cow entrepreneurs to make cow-rearing sustainable, which in turn can contribute towards the economic growth of the country. A few campaigns of RKA this year - GaumayaGanesha Campaign, Kamdhenu Deepawali Campaign, Kamdhenu Dev Deepawali, and a series of seminars and webinars - have carried the message of other uses of cow dung and cow urine very effectively.

RKA has been constituted by the government for the conservation, preservation, protection, and development of cows and their progenies and for giving directions for the cattle development programs. It is a high-powered permanent body to formulate policies and to provide directions for the implementation of schemes related to cattle so as to lay more emphasis on livelihood generation for small & marginal farmers, women, and youth entrepreneurs.
