Two-day RSS Pratinidhi Sabha meet gets underway

Bangaluru, Mar 19: The two-day meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) got underway here at Bengaluru today.

Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohanrao Bhagwat and Sarkaryawah Suresh alias Bhayyji Joshi offered floral tributes to the portrait of Bharat Mata heralding the commencement of the top decision making body of the RSS. The meeting will conclude tomorrow.


Nearly 450 delegates (Pratinidhis) are participating in the meeting. The number of delegates which otherwise would be around 1500 was curtailed due to coronavirus pandemic protocol. The remaining delegates will be participating in the ABPS meeting from their respective states through videoconferencing.

The two-day meet is also expected to elect a new Sarkaryawah (General Secretary) of the RSS. The present incumbent Bhayyaji Joshi’s term is expiring today.

Besides the organizational matters, the ABPS is also likely to deliberate upon and pass resolutions on the current issues facing the country.
