New Delhi, June 14: Creating positive atmosphere around us will enable us to face the corona challenge and we along with the world will be able to overcome this pandemic in coming 2-3 months. It is therefore, necessary for every one amongst us to contribute in this positivity campaign to awaken the people to be prepared to confront the corona pandemic.

These views were expressed by Dr. Indresh Kumar, member of RSS National Executive and Patron and Guide of Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) on the concluding day of the three-day online positivity campaign named as “Corona: Bharatiya Samaj aur Samadhan”.

Other speakers of the day included Bhante Shively of Mahabodhi Society, Dr. Khurshid Alam from the United Kingdom (England), and Maulana Koukab Mujtba from Amroha in Uttar Pradesh. Advocate Shiraj Qureshi, National Convener of ‘Bharat First’, one of the organizers of the three-day series, compeered the proceedings and proposed a vote of thanks.

In his inspiring address Dr. Indresh Kumar appealed to the people not to get panicky and confused with the negative propaganda. We are confident that we will defeat any such third wave of Covid-19 with this positivity campaign and make our country and the world corona free in coming 2-3 months.

Emphasizing on creating an atmosphere of positivity, he said that such an atmosphere will be over security cover and will help us in killing the virus. He also called for promoting goodwill among the religions, respecting women and shunning violence in the name of religion and love jihad.

Stating that this virus was targeted against humanity by China from its Wuhan laboratory, he said that this virus caused massive devastation and death in almost all the countries of the world. He said that the world today is demanding an apology from China for this attack of the bio-weapon and we are also demanding the same

He expressed that all the major religions and sects participated in this three-day campaign and assured that this series would continue even in the future. We need to make treatment available to the patients and take them to the hospital. This is the true service to humanity and it is said in all religions that service to man is service to god.

In the absence of positivity man becomes violent, corrupt, he said giving examples of how some people indulged in black marketing of medicines, oxygen, hospital beds etc. He pointed to the statements of Dr. Hasan of Muradabad who said that the corona pandemic is due to insult of the ‘sharia’ , and that of IMA President Dr. Rose Austine Jayalal who said by praying to Jesus corona can be cured.

Both these doctors of modern medicine have insulted humanity by involving religion in this pandemic situation, Indresh Kumar said demanding that the IMA should have openly condemned its president for his religiously loaded statement. This communalism of the pandemic shows the negativity of these learned people, he added. This will lead to increase in tension and violence. Had they appealed to the people to pray as per their religions, it would have been positive message. For, each religion teaches us love, brotherhood and peaceful coexistence and not violence, he said.

Similarly, some politicians are also spreading the negativity by branding the vaccine as ‘Modi Vaccine’ or ‘BJP Vaccine’. They tried to spread political intolerance by indulging in such negative activities. Some leaders tried to play politics in the name of oxygen shortage, medicine supply etc. and tried to vitiate the atmosphere with their negativity. We appeal to such leaders not to indulge in such activities and insult the society, he said condemning this attitude.

Indresh Kumar announced that a book titled “Meeting of Minds” written by Dr. Khwaja Iftikhar Ahmed will be released on July 4. The book promotes dialogue and positivity and calls for meaningful dialogue between the Muslims, the RSS and the BJP for better future. This will be an endeavor of ideological positivity and dialogue.

He also appealed to the people to observe the International Day of Yoga on June 21 and post the news on social media to counter the virus of religious fundamentalism and violence.

Bhante Shively of Mahabodhi Society in his opening remarks thanked the MRM for launching such an exercise to promote positivity in the society to fight with the corona virus. He showered praise on the MRM for supplying oxygen concentrators, medicines and food to the patients in different parts of the country.

These are great humanitarian activities and this is the national need at present, he said emphasizing on giving a united fight to overcome the corona pandemic.

Dr. Khurswhid Alam from the United Kingdom said that the world needs positivity more today to put up united fight against the corona virus. He said we have to put aside all religious and dogmatic difference and stand as one nation.

We are Indians and we are the best nation of the world and will remain so, he said appealing to rise above petty differences to serve the humanity with positive attitude.

This pandemic is not confined to a particular part of the world. It has engulfed the entire world and the only weapon to end this is strengthening positivity, he said.

He said in the UK 33% medical fraternity comes from Bharat. But there is a need to develop health infrastructure in the rural parts of India and also provide better education facilities.

He said that ‘Bharat First’ should be motto of every Indian wherever he is living on this earth and all religious scriptures teach the same message. We must start positivity from our homes.

Shia religious leader Maulana Koukab Mujtba also expressed his views.
