VHP passes resolution for implementation of Uniform Civil Code

New Delhi, June 13: The Vishva Hindu Parishad has passed a resolution calling for the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code in the country. The resolution was passed during the concluding session of the meeting of VHP at Nishkam Sewa Trust Ashram.

"For the resolution of various problems in the country, it is imperative to implement one law for every section of the society," said religious leader Swami Avdheshanand Giri Maharaj at the meeting held in Haridwar.
 
Apart from UCC,the VHP members also vowed to work to free temples from government control at its biannual central advisory board meeting in the holyy city of Haridwar.
 
 
 
Moreover, VHP also discussed the issue of the forceful religious conversion that is going across the country. “Forceful conversions are being made in some of the tribal areas strategically It is difficult to stop such conversions without taking stringent steps,” said a saint in the meeting.
