River worship, cultural fest mark day two of Sindhu Darshan Yatra

Leh (Ladakh), Jun 25: The second day of three-day 26th Sindhu Darshan Yatra was marked by the worship of Sindhu River and cultural programs on the banks of the river in Leh under the guidance of Dr. Indresh Kumar.
 
Shankaracharya of Jyotishpeeth Sri Swami Vasudevananda Saraswati, Mahamandleshwar Swami Yatindranand, Sindhi Saint Yudhishthir Lal, Dr. Indresh Kumar, Lt. Governor of Ladakh R K Mathur, Palgar Rimpoche, Leh-Ladakh MP Jamyang Sering Namgyal, actor Gajendra Chauhan, Haryana Cabinet minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar, Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Kapil Agarwal, Cabinet Minister of Tripura Ram Prasad Pal, Regional organizer Banwari, President of Agrawal Conference Western Uttar Pradesh Surendra Agrawal, Naresh Bansal, Lekhraj Garg, Sanjeev Kumar,and other office-bearers of Sindhu Yatra Committee were also present.

The national tricolor was ceremoniouly hoisted by Dr. Indresh Kumar and Lt. Governor Mathur at the Sindhu River Ghat to start the program. The commemorative postal stamp issued by the Government of India was released by the dignitariess on this occasion.
 
Various colorful cultural programs conveying the message of unity, integrity, harmony and brotherhood; culture, traditions and patriotic fervour were presented by the troops of artists.

President of Sindhu Darashan Yatra Samiti and Sindhu Bhawan Trust, Leh Murlidhar Makhija, General Secretary Bhupendra Kansal, Raju Motwani and others were conspicuous by their presence.
 
Revered Shankaracharya Vasudevananda Saraswati Maharaj uveiled the Sindhu Ghat plaque at the location on this occasion. The Plaque depicts the history and importance of Sindhu River and Sindhu Ghat.
