1. Draupadi Murmu was a teacher before she entered into politics: Belonging from Odisha’s Mayurbhanj area, Draupadi Murmu started as a teacher before she entered into politics. She started teaching at Aurobindo Integral Education School at Rairangpur, District Mayurbhanj. Her students still remember her as their humble, simple teacher.
2. Draupadi Murmu lost her husband and two sons: Life was never easy with her. She had to face a lot of struggles and personal tragedies in her life. One of which was losing her husband and two sons in a tragic incident. She was shaken and broken and life was dark, however, she had her only daughter Itishree with her. These personal losses taught her a lot in her life.
3. Draupadi Murmu stepped into politics as a councilor: in the Rairangpur Nagar Panchayat, after winning elections in 1997, and as vice-president of the BJP’s Scheduled Tribes Morcha.
4. Draupadi Murmu is the FIRST tribal governor of India: In 2015, Murmu was sworn in as the first woman Governor of Jharkhand. She is the first Tribal governor of India. It is a huge honor for every Indian.
5. Draupadi Murmu has been an MLA twice: Draupadi Murmu contested the MLA elections twice from Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj Odisha (the years 2000 and 2009).
6. Draupadi Murmu’s governor term got extended: Her five-year term as governor was to end on May 18, 2020, but was automatically extended due to the non-appointment of a new Governor due to the ongoing Covid pandemic.
7. If elected Draupadi Murmu will become the first Tribal President of India: If elected she will become the first Tribal President and Second female president of India.

She reached here in her career all because of the fair talent She has handled Animal husbandry and fishery department very well before.
