It should be noted, the Left organisations had organised the screening of the documentary India: The Modi Question, in a bid to run their anti-propaganda against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Republic Day.

This comes days after another student’s collective screened the documentary on campus without prior notice or permission. The ABVP had raised an outcry over the screening and claimed to have lodged a police complaint.

Countering it, the students of ABVP HCU organised the screening of The Kashmir Files, on the university campus on the same day.

Although the University registrar claimed there was no untoward incident during the screenings and the campus was peaceful, the ABVP alleged that their functionaries were manhandled by security officials on campus.
