The Indian Space Research Organization's (ISRO) chairman, S. "The acquisition of the land is almost finished," Somanath declared. The launchpad is expected to be finished in the next two years, and we are currently working to get approvals for connectivity, electricity, and building activities.

Somanath conveyed his appreciation to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister for the assistance provided by the state government in enabling the launchpad's construction in Kulasekarapattinam. In addition, he gave the Chief Minister a replica of Chandrayan-3 as a thank you for his support of ISRO's space program and the scientists working on it.

Building the launchpad is a challenging project that calls for numerous sources of assistance."We have requested support from Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who has consistently advocated for space programs," Somanath said.He added that a noteworthy move that will support the expansion of the space industry is the Tamil Nadu government's proposal to build an industrial park close to the new launch facility.

With its distinctive design for tiny satellites, the second launchpad is expected to provide a significant benefit to ISRO's space program. Tamil Nadu has made notable progress in promoting manufacturing and support companies in the space and defense industries. The industrial corridor and towns like Trichy, Coimbatore, and Chennai stand to benefit greatly from this advancement, since they will help strengthen ISRO's space program.
