Islamic centers of America organises Rahul Gandhi's lecture in New York ; Reports

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi is once again to maligne image of the India on international platform, is preparing for a three-city tour in the United States, commencing with San Francisco on Monday evening.

 

 

He is shecduled to participate in multiple events in San Francisco, Washington DC, and New York, During his week-long tour, Gandhi is expected to engage with Indian Americans, lawmakers, think tank members, Wall Street executives, and university students.

 

But do you know who is organising this his lectures? As per the information Islamic centers of America has organised his New York lecture. In New York, Rahul will address Indian Americans on June 4 at the Javits Center besides having a meeting with the Indian Overseas Congress members from across America.

 

Moreover, Rahul will also attend a dinner hosted by Indian-American entrepreneur Frank Islam, where in attendance would be business leaders, Senators and Congressmen.

Earlier, in March 2023, he stroked controversy by passing remarks on Indian democracy. While delivering a speech at Cambridge University, he said, "Indian democracy is under pressure and attack." He also said that India is not a nation but a “union of states”.

 

“Everybody knows and it’s been in the news a lot that Indian democracy is under pressure and attack. I am an Opposition leader in India, we are navigating that (Opposition) space,” Rahul Gandhi said at Cambridge University in the UK. “The institutional framework which is required for a democratic Parliament, free press, the judiciary, just the idea of mobilisation, moving around all are getting constrained. So, we are facing an attack on the basic structure of Indian democracy,” he had added.
