"Prior to walking, we were finding that the normal tools that we used to use for politics… conversations like this, public meetings, were not working anymore. All the instruments we needed to do politics in India — they were controlled by the BJP and the RSS" - Rahul Gandhi, Congress Leader

Washington, May 31: After arriving in San Francisco for a three-city US tour- organised by Islamic Centre America- Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, without wasting his time started a hatred campaign during his first so-called' Mohobaat Ki Dukaan' event.

While speaking at the event Rahul Gandhi started uttering blatant lies to defame the Indian government on foreign soil. He said, the RSS and the BJP are controlling all the instruments of politics in India.

He further levelled accusations against the BJP and the RSS, asserting that they were actively undermining the Constitution and attempting to foster divisions based on caste and religion within the country.

"The BJP is threatening people and misusing government agencies. The Bharat Jodo Yatra started because all the instruments that we needed to connect with the people were controlled by the BJP-RSS," he said.

Going further, Gandhi accused the government of employing all its resources to halt the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He said that the government tried everything it could do to stop the Yatra, but its impact kept on increasing. "We were finding it difficult to act politically due to misuse of agencies and therefore, we decided to start Bharat Jodo Yatra," Gandhi added.

He further called the political atmosphere in India difficult. He said, "You know people are threatened, agencies are used on people. We are also finding that in some way it has become quite difficult to act politically."

Gandhi said India is not what is being shown in the media which likes to promote a political narrative that is far from reality, asserting that there is a "huge distortion".

Talking about PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi said that some groups in India have the "disease" of being under the impression that they know everything. He went on to say, "I think if you sat Modi Ji down next to God, he would start explaining to God how the universe works. And God would get confused about what I have created.”

"In India, we grew up with people of different languages, different religions. And that is what is being attacked. The tradition in India, of people like Gandhi Ji and Guru Nanak Ji, has been that you should not be under the impression of knowing everything. It is a 'disease' that some groups of India think that they know everything. Even if they have a conversation with God, they might explain to him," he said.
