And yet they are innocent farmers? Khalistani threaten to kill PM Modi similar to Indira Gandhi’s assassination

A Khalistani Sikh farmer has issued an open threat to Prime minister Narendra Modi, reminiscent of the assassination for former PM Indira Gandhi. In a video circulating on social media, the Khalistani can be heard threatening that PM Modi will face and meet the same fate as Indira Gandhi.

 

 

He then proceeded to raise religious slogans.It is not the first time that death threats have been made against PM Modi.

 

 

 

Here are five instances when Khalistani threatened and abused PM Modi. The protests in Punjab over farm sector reforms spilled over to Punjab-Haryana Border and then to Haryana-Delhi border, with videos showing protestors issuing threats to Modi.

 

One of them said that he will meet the same fate as Indira Gandhi.Another video showed a child leading death chant against the PM Modi and Haryana CM ML Khattar. Fringe Khalistani elements hijacked the protests and then Congress affiliated CM of Punjab, Amarinder Singh was accused of fuelling the fire by allowing protests to escalate.Netizens discovered gaming videos depicting the assassination of PM Modi, with one of them showing a mob attacking PM Modi.

 

The video was created by a Youtuber Manpreet Singh was live streamed and showed the PM being beaten to death. Singh initially laughed off the controversy but later apologised and deleted the video.

 

The incident highlights Khalistani radicalisation among the Sikh youth with concerns raising about the Congress government handling of the situation.The NCP chief Sharad Pawar issued a veiled threat to the Modi government citing the assassination of Indira Gandhi for upsetting farmers in Punjab sating that they are contributing to the country’s food production.

 

His remarks came amid escalating violence at the farmer protests sites with critics accusing him off defending violence and anarchy. The BJP condemned Pawar statement, calling it an attempt to instigate the Sikh community and farmers a serious danger to the life of PM Modi.PM Modi’s convoy was blocked by protesting farmers on a flyover in Punjab leading to a major security lapse. The Incident occurred during the visit of the PM to Ferozepur and the protestors were associated with the BKU Krantikari, a farmer union with past Maoist links.

 

The Punjab Police and state government faced criticism for the security lapse and the Ministry of Home Affairs sought a detailed report and asked strict action to be takenMeghalaya Governor Satyapal Malik’s video issuing veiled threats of Indira Gandhi assassination attempts against the Modi government and went viral on November 21, 2021.

 

In the video, Malik warned of dire consequences if the farm laws were not revoked citing historical events involving the Sikh community. The video was originally from November 8 when Malik spoke at the Global Jatt Summit.Farmer protests, initially aimed at opposing farm sector reforms, have taken a troubling turn with the emergence of threatening soldiers against PM Modi. The involvement of the Khalistani elements and political manoeuvring adds layers to the complexity of the situation.
