A new revelation has come to the fore against
Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janata Party, a mass movement that seems to be deliberately targeting the current ruling government. Dipke, who has deep associations with the Aam Aadmi Party, had in the year 2019 attempted to spread fake information and fear against the Indian government during the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
"Need to stand with Kashmir. Today it's Kashmir, tomorrow it can be your state," the alleged fear-spreading tweet by Dipke read. He also shared an alleged fake screenshot of his communication with one of his associates, a claimed resident of Kashmir. The conversation between the duo indicated that people in Kashmir during the abrogation of Article 370 in the former state were scared and that they all were going to die.
"People are living in constant fear of death. I had this chat with one of my friends last night. #KashmirBleeds, #Kashmir," Dipke's tweets read. Following this, the Legal Rights Observatory (
LRO) in 2019 filed an official complaint asking the Pune Police to book the then AAP's national social media coordinator under UAPA. The LRO in the complaint clearly stated that Dipke was openly spreading fake news of alleged Indian oppression and atrocities in Kashmir.
"His sole purpose, as evident from his Twitter timeline, is to garner support for separatist/ terrorist activity in Kashmir. He is relentlessly provoking people through his Twitter account. Being a person with the responsibility of the ruling party, he is in a position to drive propaganda, which may help anti Indian destructive forces in achieving their goals," LRO's official complaint to Pune Police read.
The unit further asked the police to book Dipke under the then-relevant IPC (now BNS) sections related to sedition and war against the state. It also asked the Police to interrogate him for his "clandestine relations with Hurriyat and other Kashmiri separatist/ terrorist groups."
"Investigate his financial transactions of the last 5 years to ascertain, cross-check, and unearth whether he received money from dubious sources to run massive anti-India propaganda. Investigate his foreign travel details for his possible liaison with any foreign intelligence agency," LRO's official complaint added.
It was
reported earlier that Dipke, who has close associations with the AAP, was attempting to garner Gen Z attention by launching a political mass movement by introducing the Cockroach Janata Party. He launched the party as a rebuttal to CJI Surya Kant's alleged statement, where he referred to India's unemployed youth as 'cockroaches'.
However, though Kant clarified that he was misquoted, the movement continued to garner the attention of 1.8 million youth. How is Dipke trying to be the new young face of the AAP after Raghav Chadha's exit? How is he associated with the AAP? What political changes can happen due to this anti-India mass movement?
