New Delhi, 30 May : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet against three people linked to the banned CPI (Maoist) organization. The case relates to the alleged supply of explosives and other logistical support to Maoist members in Andhra Pradesh.
According to
reports, the accused were part of a network that helped underground Maoist cadres by providing materials and support for their activities, including operations aimed at security forces.
The NIA has filed a chargesheet against three operatives linked to the banned CPI (Maoist) terror outfit in a case involving the supply of explosives and logistical support to Maoist cadres in Andhra Pradesh.

The chargesheet was submitted before the NIA Special Court in Visakhapatnam under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Explosive Substances Act, and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act [UAPA]. The accused have been identified as Naka Devid Raj alias Daveedu, Vijay Viswas, and Sodi Kesa.
According to the NIA, Naka Devid Raj and Vijay Viswas were working as overground workers (OGWs) for CPI (Maoist). They were arrested by local police while allegedly transporting explosives to hand them over to Sodi Kesa, an underground Maoist cadre.
The investigation revealed that Devid Raj and Vijay Viswas were involved in procuring, transporting, and supplying explosive materials to Maoist cadres for use in attacks on security forces. The NIA further found that the accused had established links with CPI (Maoist) members and were knowingly assisting the banned outfit in carrying out its activities.

The NIA, which took over the case from the local police in September 2024, found during its investigation that the conspiracy was aimed at helping the CPI (Maoist) strengthen its operations in the region. According to the agency, the objective was to enhance the outfit's capabilities and carry out activities that could threaten the country's security and stability.
The NIA further added that investigations are still underway to identify other people and networks linked to the banned organization.
