Speaking about his new political innings, the maverick actor said that ‘Makkal Needhi Maiam’ is a centric party which represents the voice of the common man. Citing the example of the electoral success of centrist parties especially in Europe, the actor turned –politician claimed that MNM is the only centrist party in India.
On this occasion, the 63-year old actor urged the young generation to enter into politics in order to serve the country. In an emotional appeal, Haasan said, “At 63, it is not ambition or sacrifice on my part, but a duty with a vision that I may not be there to see the result, but the next generation will.”
Citing the example of law and order, the first part of Vishwaroopam series was stalled by then Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. The Chief Minister banned the movie after the objection of several Muslim outfits towards the content of the film. They accused Kamal of showing Muslims in a bad light.
Vishwaroopam series is a pet project of Kamal Haasan, where he plays the role of Wisam Ahmad Kashmiri, an Indian spy. Produced, directed and written by Kamal Haasan, Vishwaroopam was shot in Tamil and Hindi and also dubbed in Telugu. The High-octane action thriller will hit the screen on August 10.
Besides Kamal Haasan, the film also stars, Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar Andrea Jeremiah Shekhar Kapur, Nasser, Jaideep Ahlawat, Wahida Rehman. Music composer Ghibran has composed tunes music and Shamdat Sainudeen is the director of photography.
After Vishwaroopam 2 the maverick actor who is busy with Tamil version of television reality show Big Boss will be next seen in the multi-lingual action-comedy ‘Sabash Naidu’. He will be teaming up with director Shankar for Indian 2, much-anticipated sequel of intense socio-political drama.
