New Delhi, March 1: "Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government, India has given Pakistan a strong message, and it's up to Islamabad to decide where ties will go”, said BJP chief Amit Shah speaking at ‘India Today Conclave 2019’ in the national capital, amid a rapid escalation of tensions between India and Pakistan following the a suicide bombing in Jammu and Kashmir, to which Indian Air Force gave a well timed response.
“After the Uri incident, after the surgical strike incident of Pulwama, it is clear from recent Air Strike act that the country is no longer in the 2004-14 government. 2014-19 is the Modi government which has adopted Zero Tolerance policy against terrorism”, he uttered.
“Pakistan went into denial refusing to accept the act and did not even bother to condemn the attack targeted by Pakistan based JeM, martyring 40 CRPF personnels in India. It is quite open to everyone that the roots of terrorism are centered in Pakistan and that the world knows this. If they are so worn out of the terror roots on their soil, they must initiate eliminating the same of their soil. This will ultimately benefit the world”, he added further.
“Politicising the event is a ill step. Yeddyurappa’s statement was analytical and was totally wrong. He later apologised for the same. He should have not said that”, cleared Shah when asked about using this incident in the light of LokSabha elections. Yeddurapa on Wednesday had said India's pre-emptive strikes on terror camps in Pakistan has created a wave in favour of PM Modi and will help the party win over 22 out of 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka.
“Manmohan Singh later day said that both the nations, India and Pakistan should follow peaceful practices. What is he trying to equate. There is no point of comparison here. One is attacking while the other is protecting itself. He cannot keep both the nations on one platform”, he pondered meanwhile.
“Nation cannot afford working on these rules and ideologies. In last 72 hours, I have noticed a laughter on the Pakistani media facials. What have they done so to celebrate the act, especially when whole world stands by India”, he added further saying that at the time when whole world is standing with India, the country's opposition is becoming a cause of happiness in Pakistan. Those who question us regarding pulwama, should also ask about the reason behind not answering the 26/11 attack, long back, he signed off.
