Bengaluru, Mar 7: In a bid to ensure the rejuvenation and beautification of the six lakes in the state capital, the Karnataka government has decided to join hands with six Bengaluru based corporate houses.
On Wednesday, official MoUs between the state government and six industries were signed in presence of Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy at Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Karnataka unit’s annual function.
Applauding the noble gesture, CM Kumaraswamy thanked representatives of corporate houses for their social commitment and requested other firms to come forward to safeguard lakes across the state.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister assured all the support and resources for the proposed lake rejuvenation activity. The six corporate houses who came forward for the green initiative are Meritor CVC India, ELCIA, Wipro, Biocon, and Timken India.
