Kolkata, April 17: Having an inclination towards Bangladesh and the people there is quite evident when it comes to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Bringing Bangladeshi citizens to drop in votes, fiddling with the voting machines Mamata Banerjee has stopped down to all levels demeaning democracy.

In a similar move trying another way, the Trinamool Congress was seen campaigning with Bangladeshi actor Ferdous Ahmed. This did not go down well with all and therefore the government issued a notice asking Ahmed to leave India.

Showing a red eye to Bangladeshi actor Ferdous Ahmed for helping in election campaigns for Trinamool Congress, the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday issued him a ‘Leave India’ notice. The central government also cancelled the business visa given to him as he was seen campaigning for a candidate of Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. Not only this, Ahmed has also been “blacklisted” by the Union Home Ministry, thus jeopardising the chances of his future travel to India.

The statement by Ministry of Home Affairs stated, “After receiving a report from the Bureau of Immigration regarding visa violations committed by a Bangladesh national, Ferdous Ahmed, the Home Ministry has cancelled his business visa and issued him a Leave India notice. He has also been blacklisted. The FRRO Kolkata has been directed to ensure compliance of these orders.”

It is learnt that Ferdous had taken part in a roadshow along with other Bengali actors at Raiganj, Hemtabad, Karandighi and Islampur. Earlier in the day, the MHA had sought a detailed report on whether Ahmed had violated visa conditions by allegedly participating in campaigning. The Bangladeshi film star was seen seeking votes for TMC’s Raiganj candidate Kanhaiyalal Agarwal. Ahmed addressed rallies across Hemtabad and Karandighi near the Indo-Bangladesh border. He also took part in a road show along with other Tollywood actors.

A complaint regarding allowing Bangladeshi actors to campaign has been lodged with Election Commission (EC), alleging a violation of the Model Code of Conduct. TMC leaders, however, remained silent, with two ministers saying they had no comments. Displaying her true double face, Mamata Banerjee has created chaos when the government ordered for the NRC bill. But the minister wants other country’s actors to campaign for her party.!
