PM Modi unveils ‘Statue of Peace’; and requests Spiritual leaders to promote AatmNirbharta by going vocal for local

 New Delhi, November 16: On the occasion of 151st Jayanti of Jainacharya Shree Vijay Vallabh Surishwer Ji Maharaj, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday unveiled the 'Statue of Peace' through video conference.

The Prime Minister paid tribute to the Jainacharya and the spiritual leaders present on the occasion. Modi said the land of Gujarat has given two Ballabhs- Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the political field and Acharya Vijay Vallabhji Maharaj in the spiritual field.


The  said that this statue will become an inspirational source of peace and non-violence in the world adding that Acharya Vallabh made an effort to make India self-reliant in the field of education.

During the inauguration, Prime Minister said, "Vijay Nityanand Surishwer Ji Maharaj used to say that the land of Gujarat gave us two Vallabh. In the political field, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and in the spiritual field Jainacharya Shree Vijay Vallabh Surishwer Ji Maharaj... Both dedicated their lives for India's unity and brotherhood. I am fortunate that the country gave me the opportunity to inaugurate the world's highest 'Statue of Unity' by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. And today I am getting the privilege of unveiling the 'Statue of Peace' by Jainacharya Vijay Vallabh Ji."


"India has been an example of humanity, the path of peace, non-violence, and fraternity for the whole world. The world looks forward to India," he said.

He laid the foundation stone for Indian rites educational institutions in many states. The country is indebted to these institutions in the field of women's education.

Reiterating his stress on ‘vocal for local Modi also appealed to saint and seers to disseminate the message of ‘vocal for local’ among their followers. Modi said that saints and seers had played important role in strengthening and pushing the freedom movement and now it is time to push ‘vocal for local’. He also said that the way the country supported the locals during the Diwali festival is an energizing feeling.

The Prime Minister said India has always shown the whole world the path of humanity, peace, non-violence, and fraternity. This is the message whose inspiration the world gets from India. For this guidance, the world is once again looking towards India.


Mentioning the educational institutions established by the Jainacharya, the Prime Minister praised his efforts to make the country AatmNirbhar in the field of education as he established many institutes imbued with indian values in states like Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. He said these institutions have given so many industrialists, judges, doctors, and engineers who have given yeoman service to the nation.
