Another Blow to China! India bans Ali Express, 42 other Chinese apps

New Delhi, November 24: Taking a dig at China, the Government of India conducted another digital Strike on china and blocked 43 Chinese mobile apps from accessing by users in India, under section 69A of the Information Technology Act.

The government took the action based on the inputs regarding these apps for engaging in activities that are prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, the security of the state, and public order.

Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has issued the order for blocking the access of these apps by users in India based on the comprehensive reports received from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center, Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Government has blocked four apps of Alibaba Group Holding Limited, also known as Alibaba Group, that are AliSuppliers Mobile App, Alibaba Workbench, AliExpress – Smarter Shopping, Better Living, and Alipay Cashier.

Apart from these, the list also includes CamCard - BCR, Soul- Follow the soul to find you, Chinese Social - Free Online Dating Video App & Chat, Date in Asia - Dating & Chat For Asian Singles, WeDate-Dating App, Free dating app-Single, Adore App, TrulyChinese, TrulyAsian ChinaLove, DateMyAge, AsianDate, FlirtWish, Tubit, First Love Live, CashierWallet, MangoTV, MGTV, WeTV - TV version, WeTV - Cdrama, Kdrama&More, WeTV Lite.

Moreover, the list also includes Lucky Live-Live Video Streaming App Taobao Live, DingTalk, Identity V, Isoland 2: Ashes of Time, Boxster (Early Access, Heroes Evolved, Happy Fish, Jellipop Match-Decorate your dream island, Munchkin Match: magic home building, Conquista Online II.

It is the fourth time government had blocked apps earlier, the center blocked access to 59 mobile apps on June 29 and another 118 apps on September 2 this year under section 69A of the Information Technology Act. Government is committed to protect the interests of citizens and the sovereignty and integrity of India on all fronts and, it shall take all possible steps to ensure that.
