When Doctor Hedgewar founded a small nationalist group in 1925, he probably had no idea that almost a century later, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) would be one of the biggest social organization in the sub-continent. India has been witnessing major challenges ie coronavirus pandemic which has made the world come to a standstill. While, the government is putting all its efforts in containing the virus, it is the RSS which is leaving no stones unturned in the midst of this crisis along with the government.

Fortunately, there are some sections of the society that are enjoying the privilege of staying at home and working from home but there is also a larger section who depends on their daily wage. However, due to the lockdown, they are unable to fulfill even their basic needs. RSS which has always been in the action to provide any assistance whenever such kind of challenge arises has come forward to battle the virus and help the needy.

People stranded in railway stations and bus stops are being rescued by the Sewa Bharati workers.
It has also emphasizes on the remote border areas of the North-east, as it takes time for the government to help to reach these areas. Maintaining social distance, the volunteers provide the much-needed support, and convey a firm message to the people that they are not alone in this.
