Aggrieved Tribals from Andhra seek action against TOI's article which openly calls a ban on Hindu Marriage Customs

The aggrieved tribals from Andhra Pradesh have approached the National ST Commission seeking action against Times of India's article which is openly calling a ban on their Marriage Customs by calling 'unhygienic, outdated, unacceptable, irrelevant'. The community has sought FIR u/s of SC ST Atrocities Act.

Hurting the Hindu sentiments regarding the age old wedding rituals in India, Debomitra Das in the Times of India last week had printed an article titled, "Indian marriage customs that should be banned by now". She openly called for destruction of the Tribal Marriage Customs by calling for impose of ban on certain hindu rituals.
 
 
 
 
 
The said article has was written with deep hatred towards Sanatan Dharma which is our ancestral faith. I belong to a Hindu Konda Dora Scheduled Tribe Community and we consider ourselves as belonging to the lineage of Sri Ramachandra Prabhu who is an incarnation of Sri Maha Vishnu. Our religious sentiments have been deeply hurt", the statement read.
