Raja highlighted that PCB received 50 percent of its funding from the ICC and the ICC raises 90 per cent of its money from Indian markets. In a way, Raja said that Indian businesses were keeping Pakistan cricket going. If the Indian prime minister decided to stop funding, he said, Pakistan cricket would collapse.

"In a way, India’s business houses are running Pakistan’s cricket board,” said Raja. Tomorrow if the Indian Prime Minister decides to not fund, the PCB can collapse," Raja remarked further. "ICC funding means that the body conducts tournaments and distributes the money among member boards," he said.

The former Pakistan captain also said that the ICC has been reduced to an 'event management company" considering how New Zealand and England pulled out of their tours of the country. New Zealand had canceled their tour just minutes before the start of the first match citing a security threat and Ramiz said some good news could be in store regarding the series in a week's time.

"What New Zealand did was unacceptable because till now they have not shared any information with us on what led them to abandon the series in Pakistan. But they are now trying to reschedule the series. The good thing is they are working on something which means they want to mend things with us," he said.
