Lucknow, Dec 23: In a huge digital revolution in the state of Uttar Pradesh, the central government will launch seven new Internet exchange nodes in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. With the launch of these nodes in Uttar Pradesh, it will help people of Uttar Pradesh access high-quality internet & strengthen the internet ecosystem.
The 7 new Internet Exchange Points in Uttar Pradesh will-
1) reduce latency
2) the cost of internet delivery
3) Uttar Pradesh will enjoy better & cheaper connectivity & faster access to internet-based content
4) will improve the overall internet ecosystem
Union Minister of State for Electronics, Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar will launch these nodes located at Meerut, Agra, Kanpur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi & Gorakhpur. The Ministry said that till date, only one Internet exchange node was operating in Uttar Pradesh at Gautam Buddh Nagar. With 7 new Internet exchanges, the Internet ecosystem shall be further strengthened in the state, which is taking fast strides in leveraging technology for transforming the lives of people.
These exchange points will cover all zones of Uttar Pradesh. A user of Braj region or Bundelkhand region will now have the same internet capability of user experience as Metro city users. Notably, under the Narendra Modi government, the number of broadband users has increased from 250 million to approximately 840 million, the ministry said, adding the data consumption has seen an increase of 189 times (from 62.9 petabytes to 11924 petabytes).”
It should be noted that each country has probably one and developed nations have more than one. Therefore, having seven in the state of India is huge. It can be said that the vision of a high-speed network in Uttar Pradesh is becoming reality under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.
