Pakistan Zindabad: Police arrest two engineering students for raising pro-Pakistani slogans in K'taka

Bengaluru, November 19: A shocking development has come to the fore from Bengaluru where two engineering students from the New Horizon College of Engineering raised pro-Pakistan slogans at a college event in Bengaluru. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media sites.

The incident took place on Thursday (November 17 ) when students were chanting slogans of their favourite IPL cricket teams. In a viral video a boy. and a girl can be seen merrily shouting 'Pakistan Zindabad' at the event. At the same time, a boy and a girl, both minors, shouted 'Pakistan zindabad' even as other students took objection and tried to stop them, following which they stopped.
 
Following that, the Marathahalli police took cognisance of the matter and register a case and booked them under sections 153 (provocation with intent to cause riot) and 505(1)B (with intent to cause fear to the public) of the Indian Penal Code.
 
The cops detained and started questioning the duo. The Karnataka Police has spoken to the parents of the two students and a further investigation is underway. It is yet to be ascertained why they shouted the slogans at the event.
 
Meanwhile, the College authority has also taken the action against the duo and suspended them from college.
