New Delhi, April 7: In a fresh development, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday questioned former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah in Delhi in a case related to purchasing of a building by the J&K Bank around 12 years ago.
"JKNC Vice President Omar Abdullah was called by the ED to Delhi to appear before it today on the grounds that his attendance was necessary in connection with an investigation. Even though this exercise is political in nature he will cooperate as there is no wrongdoing on his part," his party tweeted.
Even though, his party said that Omar Abdullah is not involved in any wrongdoing, it has not hesitated to slam the ruling party. It has alleged that the central government has made a habit of misusing investigate agencies and this is another step in the same direction.
