Lucknow, Apr 8: In a development in Ayodhya International Airport Project, the Civil Aviation department of the Uttar Pradesh govt signed a lease agreement with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) regarding the transfer of 317.85 acres land to be transferred to the latter on lease for the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was present during the signing of lease agreement. The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh will soon become the largest state in the country to be internationally connected by air. He said, "By next year we will be in a position to provide five international airports to the country. After making 10 new airports on which work is going on a war footing, 19 airports have been made functional in Uttar Pradesh so far."
He further added, "If any states has made good progress for the best air service connectivity in the last five years within the country then Uttar Pradesh is definitely one of them. He also thanked the Prime Minister and said, "The feat has been possible only because of the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi."
