On Wednesday, Adani Dhamra Port in Odisha's Bhadrak district achieved a new cargo handling record by carrying 2,26,610 MT in 24 hours.
With this, the port beat its previous cargo handling record of 1,85,856 MT established on May 30, 2023.
Dhamra Port CEO Devendra Thakar congratulated the port's executives and staff on their achievement and encouraged them to achieve even greater success in the future.
The port facilities are outfitted with cutting-edge cargo-handling infrastructure that is not only best-in-class, but also capable of handling the largest boats visiting Indian shores.
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) is the country's largest commercial port operator, accounting for approximately one-quarter of cargo traffic. It has 13 domestic ports spread over seven marine states: Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha.
