In a very shocking development, a government school teacher from Karnataka forced Brahmin student to eat egg. The incident took place at Karnataka Public School (KPS) in Kammachi village of Shivamogga district.
This incident came to lighte after the students parents filed the complaint about the same. They has written to the Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI) and former minister Araga Jnanendra seeking action against the principal and the teacher.
Shrikanth V, in a letter dated November 21, wrote to the education department claiming that his daughter studying in class two in KPS school was forcefibly fed egg by her teachers.
“During the parents’ meeting, it was told that our daughter does not eat eggs. Despite being told that, a teacher named Puttaswamy has forced our daughter to eat an egg. Due to this our religious practices have been affected and it has affected our daughter psychologically,” Shrikanth wrote in his letter.

Shrikant, who is a Brahmin, said that his daughter was in fear of revealing it to the parents and there was a change in her behaviour.
“For the past week, my daughter was complaining that her teacher was forcing her to eat an egg. I had ignored it. But on November 20, my daughter was silent, When her mother enquired, the child revealed that her teacher had forced her to eat an egg. When we spoke to other class students, they confirmed that all students of class two were made to eat an egg,” Shrikanth said in a video.
He also accused the teacher of threatening the students not to reveal the incident to their parents. “My daughter was scared. She feared her teacher in her class and at home she was scared of our reaction after she told us that she had eaten an egg. The teacher used our caste and forced her to eat an egg to make a point that people of all castes can eat eggs. We have filed a complaint and are waiting for their response,” Shrikanth added.
The government gives egg, banana or groundnut chikki to students as part of the midday meal for providing nutrients to schoolchildren.
