After constantly mentioning Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s name Rahul Gandhi in his speeches, it won’t be wrong to ask- what is it with his obsession with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the demeaning comments about her? Rahul Gandhi, who with his comments is trying to link actress Aishwarya Rai with the Ayodhya inauguration, is unaware of the fact that she wasn’t even present for the inauguration.

Besides the fact that Aishwarya Rai herself is an extremely popular & much respected Indian actor, the Bachchans & the Gandhis have been family friends for literally three generations. Rahul Gandhi speaking about their daughter-in-law in this crass manner is so disgusting! Forget about a reply from Sr. Bachchan or Aishwarya Rai what happened to that vile, angry, loud Jaya Bachchan? Why is she silent?


Where a lot of celebs are taking a stand against Rahul Gandhi, many any question arises not only about Rahul Gandhi but also about the In-laws who are silent on such comments about their daughter-in-law. Famous singer Sona Mohapatra defended Aishwarya Rai against demeaning comments and criticized the practice of politicians exploiting women for political gain. She tweeted- “What’s with politicians demeaning women in their speeches to get some brownie points in a sexist landscape? Smriti Irani the Union Minister reacts on Rahul Gandhi comments about Aishwarya Rai, calls him- ‘Ghatiya’during an interview with Times Now. She further adds that the way he disrespected his father’s, friend’s daughter-in-law publically is ‘Ghatiya’.
