Model, actor and reality TV star Poonam Pandey is alive. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, she posted videos apologizing to her fans and followers for 'shocking' them. A post made from her official Instagram account said that the actor died due to cervical cancer. This news had shocked many, with some wondering if the development was a hoax or publicity stunt.
Shared with a folded hands and heart emoji, the post shared on Poonam Pandey’s Instagram read, “This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared.” 
"I am alive. I didn't die of cervical cancer. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the hundreds and thousands of women who have lost their lives due to cervical cancer."

She said that her "death" post was an effort to initiate a conversation and spread awareness about cervical cancer.
