The ruling alliance of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Nagaland was leading in 14 Assembly constituencies, as per early counting trends in the Northeast state shared by the Election Commission at 9.50am.
Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ) and its allies -- IPFT and NDPP -- were likely to retain power in Tripura and Nagaland, as per the latest trends post the initial rounds of counting in these two Northeast states.
