Scripting a historic win, Maha CM expresses gratitude towards people for supporting BJP in Jalgaon- Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad Municipal elections

Mumbai, August 4: Registering a historic victory, Bharatiya Janata Party emerged as victorious in both the municipal elections in Jalgaon and Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad. Lauding the workers for outperforming in the crucial Jalgaon- Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad Municipal corporation elections, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis thanked the people for showing immense support to the party.

The voting was carried out at 1012 polling stations. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has registered victories in Jalgaon as well as Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad municipal corporations. In Sangli, the BJP bagged 41 of 78 seats, while in Jalgaon, the saffron party won 57 out of 75 seats.

PM Narendra Modi also expressed happiness over a historic victory hailed by the Bharatiya Janata Party in the municipal corporation elections. In a tweet, the Prime Minister mentioned the hard work of BJP workers and CM Devendra Fadnavis to make this victory possible.

Thanking the people for showing immense support to Bharatiya Janata Party, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said, “I am obliged and very thankful to the people for having a huge trust on the party. Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the state of Maharashtra has always been working on the guidance of the Prime Minister who has worked hard to create a bright and futuristic India.”

“After the results of these municipal corporation elections, one thing has been very clear that people have massive trust on Bharatiya Janata Party.” Talking about the ongoing Maratha Arakshan Andolan, CM Fadnavis said, “In spite of the ongoing Andolan and agitations in the state, people still believe in BJP and understand that these issues will be resolved by the party very swiftly and maturely. People have believed that our party will undoubtedly solve all the issues pertaining to the agitations, employment, development.”

Lauding all the ministers and workers who have worked day in and out to make development and work for the people, CM Fadnavis thanked all those involved in the Jalgaon- Sangli Miraj-Kupwad municipal corporation elections.

Counting for the crucial Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad (SMK) election 2018 results for the municipal corporation elections held on Wednesday saw an interesting result as Bharatiya Janata Party emerged as winners suppressing Congress-NCP combine, BJP and Shiv Sena. For Jalgaon Municipal corporation elections the prime contenders were Shiv Sena and BJP.

Congratulating the Maharashtra government, various ministers showered their love, support and heartfelt applause for their exemplary victory.
