Cairo, November 6: Youth power is always the driving force of world’s development. With an aim to engage youth from around the globe in a platform, World Youth Forum started on Sunday. Along with over 100 countries, India is also participating in the forum. Union Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has reached Egypt to attend the event. On the sidelines of the event, he met his counterpart Khaled Abd El Aziz. They talked about youth-related issues and sports.
Egyptian Sports Minister offered their center of excellence like the Olympic Centre for a short-term training programme for Indian sports teams. On the other hand, Minister Rathore informed him about the decision of hiring Egyptian trainers and support staff for squash. He also asked the Egyptian Minister to encourage local students to take up seats in Indian universities meant for foreign students. He also met Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports.
Four youngsters sponsored by the Department of Youth from India are also participating the forum. The forum is a chance for youths to engage with top policy-makers in the region and network with promising youth in the region and the world that are determined to create change in the world we live in today.
