When one raises voice against the 'wrongs' in the society, it literally shows nothing but one's alive! Alive for the betterment of society, alive for speaking the truth, alive for waking the society up to fight against the injustice and alive to provide a thinking trail. One such person we all know today is Republic TV founder, journalist, Arnab Goswami.

Raising his voice out loud again, this time in case of the Palghar mob lynching, where two Sadhus and a driver were forced to breath last in presence of the police, the law, Arnab has again proved his pen works only for thruth. The Sadhus kept on pleading for help but nobody there, not even the police had to heed. The incident happened on the night of April 16 has done anything but forced people to think of the goons in the media houses who failed to raise their pens write the truth.

Following this, Goswami resigned from the Editors’ Guild of India, accusing the organisation of hypocrisy. “I have been a member of the Editors’ Guild of India for a long time and I, on live television, resign for its absolute compromise on editorial ethics, for being an organisation for operation only for personal interests. I accuse you Shekhar Gupta of leading the compromise on journalism for not speaking on incidents like this", he said.

“Shekhar Gupta, you hear it from me first. Whatever has been remaining of the credibility of the Editors’ Guild of India has been destroyed by the abject silence on a series of fake news. It has become a self-serving organisation. I have been a member of the Editors’ Guild for a long time. I, hereby, resign for absolute compromise of editorial ethics", he added.

Yet, today, Goswami mounting a searing attack against the interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi, questioned if she would have maintained the silence she is exhibiting today had Christian padres been killed instead of Hindu sadhus in the horrifying lynching incident in Palghar.

“I would like to ask the country, would the country had remained silent if Maulvis or Christian Padres would have been targeted the way Hindu saints were? Would Italy’s Antonia Maino (Sonia Gandhi) have remained silent then? I would like to tell you, if the victims had been Christian padres, Sonia Gandhi, who had come from Rome, would not have remained close-mouthed on the issue,” Arnab said.
“I am telling you. She would prepare and send a report to Italy in which she would state where she had formed a government in a state, and she is getting Hindu saints killed there. And she would receive applause from there (Italy),” the Republic TV Editor-in-chief added to the panellists on his show today.

Arnab Goswami, known for not mincing his words, also slammed the media channels who have fought shy of covering the gruesome murder of the Hindu sadhus by a rampaging mob in Gadchinchle village of Palghar. He questioned why the media outlets are silent on the cold-blooded murder of the Hindu saints.

Two aspects to consider Goswami right here. One, that half of the so called left liberal media houses chose not report the incident while the other half did report, but blatantly termed the Sadhus as theives. And the second still has to be the scilence of Nasseeruddin Shah, Aparna Sen, Ramchandra Guha, Siddharth Varadarajan, and the award vapsi gang. If this incident had happened in a state run by BJP, or, instead of Hindus, any other caste was to be the victim, would these mentioned have gone berserk today?

The Editors Guild was founded in 1978 with the twin objectives of protecting press freedom and for raising the standards of editorial leadership of newspapers and magazines. Yes, there is an absolute point to think and support Goswami's thought trail. It's up to you, what you choose!
